ROCK ISLAND-Joanne E. White, 84, of Rock Island, died Monday, November 26, 2018 at Silver Cross Pavilion - Friendship Manor, Rock Island. Services will be private. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.
Memorials may be made in care of Memorial Christian Church or Friendship Manor.
Joanne was born in Milan, Illinois on February 18, 1934, a daughter of Edgar H. and Dona E. Kemper Rhoadarmer. She attended Doxee Grade School and graduated from Sherrard High School.
Joanne married Robert White on April 19, 1952 and two sons were born to this union, Craig Evan and Robert Brian White. Robert preceded her in death on January 1, 2018.
Joanne had worked for the Rock Island Bank, Bituminous, Hardee's and Augustana College.
Joanne was an active member of Memorial Christian Church where she was one of the elders. She enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge and euchre. She also enjoyed yard sales, crossword puzzles and writing and sending cards and notes.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Craig (Allison) White, Preemption and Robert B. "Brian" (Debbie) White, Marion, Ark.; grandchildren, Casey White, Texas; Evan (Rachel) White and Abbie White, Iowa; great grandchildren, Jaxon and Lexi White; and siblings, Nancy Lowery and Michael Rhoadarmer.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Joanne wanted to extend a special thank you to all her good friends who enriched her life!
