Olive L. Crawford

1924 - 2016

Olive L. Crawford, of The Arthur Home, Arthur, Ill., went to be with her Lord December 1, 2016.
Olive married C. Perle Crawford in 1964, who went to be with the Lord in 1980. They lived in the Macon/Blue Mound area but moved to Vandalia, Mo. in 1966 where they lived for many years. Olive was 92 years old.
She was born in Newton, Ill. and grew up in that area. Olive had been a teacher, key punch operator and farm wife. After the death of her husband, Olive continued to manage the farm and she knew how a farm should be run.
Olive was preceded in death by her parents (James and Iva Blair); husband; one sister; two brothers; one step-son; five step grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. She is survived by a step-daughter Kathleen and her husband Merle Kraft, of Decatur, Ill.; four step-grandchildren, four nieces; one nephew; and one step-daughter-in-law. Olive was a born again believer in her Savior. She had many hobbies, such as quilting, overseeing her farms, traveling and helping people through troubled times. Her favorite scriptures were Psalm 23 and John 14:1-7.
Gravesides services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2016 in South Macon Township Cemetery, 400 W. Andrews Macon, Ill. 62544. Dawson & Wikoff, Macon, is assisting the family with arrangements.
