She was the wife of Robert H. King. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Lola M. (Hartenstine) Shingle.
Carol was employed at Boscov's Distribution Center as a supervisor for 30 years, retiring in 2013.
Surviving in addition to her husband are 3 children: daughter, Vicki A. (Bobst) Fuller, Birdsboro; son, Gary C. Bobst, husband of Kate A. (Dwinal) Bobst, Sinking Spring; daughter, Jennifer A. (Bobst) Soto, wife of Angel Soto, Reading. There are 4 grandchildren: Alexander, Brea, Marquis, Rory Jr. and great-granddaughter, Morgan and 2 brothers, Robert Shingle Jr., Reading and Terry Shingle, Reading.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Life Choice Hospice: 200 Dryden Road, Suite 3300, Dresher, PA 19025
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
