She was the wife of William J. Diehl, to whom she was married for 52 years.
Born in Mahanoy City, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Keip) Casserly.
She was a sales clerk for Pomeroy's Department Store, Pottsville, and then a secretary for Davis Candies, Reading, for 21 years, retiring in 1991.
She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels RCC.
Also surviving are a daughter, Diane Lerch, Shillington.
Other survivors include two grandchildren, Kirsten and Matthew Lerch.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas and William Casserly.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in Bean Funeral Home, North 16th and Rockland streets, Hampden Heights. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels RCC, with the Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis celebrant. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home.
