Ruth S. Isenberg

1926 - 2023

Ruth S. (Schultz) Isenberg, 96, of Reading, PA, died January 14 in the Highlands at Wyomissing. She was married to the love of her life, the late Paul Isenberg, for 61 years. Born in 1926 in Boston MA, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Rosalind (Shapiro) Schultz, and sister of the late Irene (Shultz) Feldman Lehberg. She is survived by two sons, Henry (Rollande) Isenberg of Milton, N.H. and Dr. James (Pauline Kennedy) Isenberg of McLean, VA, and a daughter, Joan Isenberg, widow to the late William Hashinger of Pittsburgh, PA. She was predeceased by a daughter, Laura Isenberg. Also, "Grandma" Ruth is survived by her four grandchildren: Rachael Isenberg, Emily (Chad Joiner) Isenberg, Jonathan Hashinger, and Leah Hashinger and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12:30 PM in Kesher Zion Synagogue, Wyomissing. Burial will be in Kesher Zion Cemetery. Services will be streamed through Zoom by visiting www.kesherzion.org.
