Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Thomas E. Jr. and Sara L. (MacBride) Henry.
Tom was a Korean War Air Force veteran. He was a member of Falkner Swamp UCC Church in Gilbertsville, where he was a former member of the finance committee, Vaux Lodge #406 F&AM Masonic Lodge in Hamburg, a former president of the Rotary Club, a life member of the Good Fellowship Riding Club, the Frontier District Chairman of the Boy Scouts of America, Hawk Mountain Council, and a retired district manger of the Boyertown District of Met-Ed.
Surviving, with his wife of 64 years, is a daughter Lisa A. Vega, wife of Osvaldo Vega Jr, of Gilbertsville; son, Clay T. Henry, husband of Lorraine R., of Millersville, MD; grandchildren, Beth A. Adams, wife of George L. Adams, Catherine L. Henry, Emily R. Copson and Michele G. Henry; great-grandson, Dillon T. Grim; and half brothers James E. Henry of Goleta, CA and Frederick Henry of Harrisburg, PA. He is predeceased by a half brother, David B. Henry.
A memorial service will be Thursday, 12:00 p.m. at Falkner Swamp UCC Church, 2077 Swamp Pike, Gilbertsville with Rev, Carlton H. Borden officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church.
Memorial donations may be made in Tom's name to Hawk Mountain Council # 528, Boy Scouts of America, 5027 Pottsville Pike, Reading, PA 19605 or Falkner Swamp UCC Church Memorial Fund, 2077 Swamp Pike, Gilbertsville, PA 19525. Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Gilbertsville is in charge of arrangements.
