He was the husband of Irene M. (Epler) Snyder.
Born in Reading on Oct. 14, 1942, he was a son of Theresa (DiGuardi) Koch.
He was last employed as a facility manager for St. John Baptist de La Salle Roman Catholic Church/La Salle Academy of Shillington, for two years, retiring in 2002.
Mr. Snyder was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church.
He was an Army veteran.
Mr. Snyder enjoyed horse racing, fishing and his grandchildren.
Surviving is a son, Kevin T., husband of Kelly M. (Pastor) Snyder, Sinking Spring; and a daughter, Kim M. Snyder, Robesonia.
Other survivors include a brother, Donald Koch, Gibraltar; and three sisters: Patricia (Snyder) Knarr, West Reading; Linda Koch, Birdsboro; and Marie (Koch) Blank, Birdsboro.
There also are two grandchildren, Hope B. Snyder and Thomas Q. Snyder.
He was predeceased by a sister, Rose (Koch) Johnson.
A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church. Receiving time will be 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Berks County Inc., 1801 N. 11th St., Reading, PA 19604.
Bean Funeral Homes Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
