Eunice Benyi Fritz

STUART, Fla. - Eunice Benyi Fritz, 90, of Stuart, Fla., died on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart.

She was born in New Britain and was a resident of the Stuart area since 1988 coming from Wallingford. She was past president of Connecticut School Food Service Assoc. and a member of Food Service Executives Assoc. She was the food service director of Wallingford Schools for 25 years. She was a Girl Scout and Brownie leader and held office in the PTA in Yalesville. Eunice also belonged to the Meriden-Wallingford Soroptimist and was a member of the Yalesville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Jakad and a brother, Charles VanTassel, both of Stuart, Fla.; stepsons, Kenneth Fritz of California and Theodore Fritz Jr. of Connecticut; and two grandsons. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Benyi; husbands, Ernest Benyi and Theodore Fritz; and one grandson.

Burial services will be held at Immemorial Cemetery in Wallingford. Memorial donations may be made to Yalesville United Methodist Church, 89 New Place St., Yalesville or Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997. All County Funeral Home and Crematory Treasure Coast Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
