Howard Biltz Obituary
Greenfield, MA - Howard E. Biltz, 48, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.
He was born in South Bend, Indiana on January 13, 1975 the son of Dale and Susan (Sigrist) Biltz. He grew up in Wakarusa, IN and at the age of 20 moved to western Massachusetts.
After a few years in the food service and hardware store industry, Howard began his career as a sales representative for the Brockway-Smith Co. in Hatfield. He had been employed there for 24 years.
Howard was a gentle, fun loving, and kind friend who always had a smile or joke to share. His sense of humor and honesty endeared him to those who were fortunate enough to know him. He loved being around his family and friends.
He enjoyed gardening, shopping, fishing and kayaking, Lego's, anything Sci-Fi, and he was an accomplished chess player.
Howard was loved by many, and will be deeply missed.
Howard's family includes his spouse Brandon Lively, their sons; Nicholas Scribner, Jayson Scribner and Johnathan Scribner, his mother Susan Biltz of Wakarusa, IN, sisters Ellen Biltz and Jackie Westort of Wakarusa, IN, and Karen Biltz of South Bend, IN, nephews Noah Biltz, Ben and Alex Taylor, nieces Shannon and Sarah Taylor, and many more loved ones.
A Celebration of Howard's life will take place at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested memorial contributions be made to the Franklin County Regional Dog Shelter, www.fcrdogkennel.org

Susan, Ellen and Jackie, Karen and family, Brandon and sons, as I have just now heard of Howard's passing. I'm so sorry to not have been able to be there to be with you and pay my respects to such wonderful people in your time of need. The whole world shifts, in a way, I believe, with the loss of a person like Howard.

Worked with Howard for many years as comrades in Contruction suppliers.
He was always kind/funny and polite, just hearing of his passing today.
So sorry to hear of this loss, the world can use more people as kind hearted as Howard.

Howard was wonderful, gentle and loved life. Howard, Brandon and the boys were the first family we met at our son's school. You were so welcoming and wonderful over the years that our only regret was not reaching out more often.

I worked with Howard at Brockway Smith 25 years ago, he was one of my favorite work friends and I am saddened to hear of his passing. Sending my thoughts, prayers and love to his family and friends. The folks at Middleton Building Supply-Middleton are very sad to hear this. Howard was was a great partner in our business for many years. Howard was instrumental in securing many orders for us. We will miss him so much.
