Marilyn Kosuda Obituary

Marilyn ""Joan"" Kosuda
GREENFIELD - Marilyn ""Joan"" Kosuda, 77, of Weldon Apts. Died (9/24/14) at Buckley HealthCare Center in Greenfield. Joan as she was always known as, was born November 12,1936. She graduated from Greenfield High School in 1954. Most of her married life was spent in South Deerfield. Joan worked many years at the University of Mass in the bookstore, hotel and for Peter Pan ticket offices.
She is survived by her daughter Lori Drew, grandchildren Amber, Jaime and Cody
Lucas , her sister Shirley Pielock, her brother Richard Duke, and many nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her husband Raymond and son Michael, and her son-in-law Kurt Drew and brothers Robert and Earl Duke. She had two best friends in life, Deputy Sheriff Joseph Lachance and Patricia Potter.
""While living at the Weldon, my mother could always be found sitting in her apartment in her wheelchair in front of her monitor or out in the hall by the fish tank, waiting for friends and family (especially if they brought their dogs) My mother never forgot my first love, William Powers III, and would always ask, ""How is he doing and is he happy for the last 35 years?"" Then I met Kurt, my soul mate, best friend and real true love. She loved him so much, he was the greatest son-in-law to her. She still talked about him and missed him so much. God took their lives away to soon, within three years, which leaves our family so broken hearted. Now they are all together in heaven. Always loved-never forgotten!""
Calling hours will be Saturday, Oct. 18th, from 2 - 3:30 PM with a service following at The Wrisley Funeral Home in South Deerfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. It is suggested that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Holy Name of Jesus Church, 15 Thayer St, South Deerfield, Ma. 01373 or to TRIAD, Franklin County Sheriff's Dept., c/o Joseph Lachance, Greenfield, Ma 01301.
