Antoinette Wanczyk Obituary

Antoinette (Greener) Wanczyk of Florida, N.Y., entered into rest on July 12, 2006 at O.R.M.C. Arden Hill Campus in Goshen after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was 78.

The daughter of the late Martin Greener Sr. and Anna Turczyn Greener, she was born on February 7, 1928 in Florida, N.Y.

Antoinette was a member of the Golden Floridians and St. Joseph's Church Florida, N.Y.

"She loved her family and enjoyed her retirement, visiting with friends, shopping, playing cards (holding her Trump card), her garden, garage sales and spending time with her granddaughter."

Antoinette was married to the late Anthony Wanczyk who predeceased her on March 7, 1990.

Survivors include her mother Anna Greener; 2 daughters Marlene Wanczyk and companion Ronald Soderstrom, Monica Sicina and her husband Dennis; granddaughter Angela Sicina; 1 brother Edward Greener and his wife Margaret; sisters-in-law Felicia Wanczyk and Frances Wanczyk; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her sister Cecelia and her brother Martin Greener Jr.

Friends may call on Thursday July 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida, N.Y.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday July 14 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 20 Glenmere Ave., Florida, NY 10921.

Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Florida, N.Y.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Church Restoration Fund, 20 Glenmere Ave., Florida, NY 10921 or American Cancer Society, 419 East Main St., Middletown, NY 10940.
