Bud Taylor, Lakeview OR
Bud Taylor
August 19, 2018
Hi, it's Bud Taylor from Lakeview, OR. Augie and I were friends all our lives. We were in the service together. We were constant companions in school, riding our bikes together. He lived about a mile from where I lived. My memories of Augie will stay with me as long as I am alive. So sorry to hear of your loss and didn't see each other more. Old age has its drawbacks. Wishing you the best. Bud

To my dear Uncle Auggie, I will truly miss you! Thank you for teaching me my first fishing knot (I still use today), thank you for taking me and your boys (my cousins) to that ice cave at Tule Lake, several camping trips, panning for gold along the Klamath River, showing us both ends of the Sacramento River, sitting around the camp fires listening to the stories you and Dad would tell each other making all of us laugh, for teaching us about nature and how to respect it, thank you for taking us to MT. Shasta, MT. Lassen and Lava Beds National Monument. Thank you for taking us to your Mom's and brothers almond ranch and letting us swim in the slough (boy was that fun). And thank you for being with me on the last fishing trip we took together in 2016 in Santa Cruz, we didn't catch anything but it was fun to be with you anyway. These are things I will always remember and cherish about you Uncle Auggie, I will always love you!
