I just learned today that Dr Wuchenich passed away. I sent her Christmas cards each year and when it was returned I figured she had moved away. My friend, Erin, had referred me to her back in 1993 and thought I had heard about her too-soon passing. We spent several minutes reflecting on the gifts that God blessed doctor with and that she so willingly shared with her patients. She was so empathic and kind. She was the world's best listener and was so eager for all of the family updates. She was truly gifted in so many ways. She was a wonderful physician but, perhaps more important, she was a wonderful human being. She was joyful, compassionate, understanding and loving. I've often envisioned her retired and enjoying herself somewhere other than Redlands. To learn of her passing was such a shock. I'm sorry I learned so late but I know in my heart she is very well and at peace in Heaven.

Nanette was a really good human being and a wonderful friend. To be a friend of Nanette's was a privilege to all of us. She was so talented and fun to be around. As a medical school classmate, I can say she was wise when we were young adults and chose a field of medicine where her skills as a physician would be utilized to the highest degree. Her patients loved her as she practiced with a high degree of competence, compassion and integrity. She will be truly missed.

The legacy of Blue Mountain Academy was forged over the years by the greatness of the student body who has been part of this Institution. In a special way, Nanette Emilie Wuchenich represents what that greatness stood for and as the 1965 yearbook states, she has been an asset to BMA. It is with sadness that BMA expresses condolences to the family. May God be your support!

It saddens me to hear that you have left us. You were the best doctor I ever had, I would often run into you at the Drayson Center. You always had a smile and an encouraging word. Proud to see a single professional woman sailing through her career. I asked if you were ever lonely, you laughed and said I have nieces and nephews. You will be missed by many. Rest now until we meet again in the second coming.

Nanette was a model Physician who truly practiced patient centered care.
She had a caring spirit and was always willing to spend whatever time was
required with her patients.
Recently she stopped by and mentioned that she just had to deliver
"my signature gift" for your first grand baby.
Our family always enjoyed Nanette and we will miss this special friend!!

I just found out about Dr. Wuchenich's passing. It's a shame that God chose to bring her home so early, I'm sure she still had much to give. She was a blessing to those who knew her.
I worked for Dr. Wuchenich for 13 years. I was 19 years old and still in school for medical assisting when she opened her office to me to do my externship. She kept me on when my hours were completed; it was my first real job. She was a calm, compassionate, and thorough teacher. Dr. Wuchenich emphasized the importance, and responsibility(s) of, patient care and what it took to provide quality care, stressing the importance of empathy. She treated each and every patient with respect and the best possible care. Though there is only so much that can be done to make an office feel warm and welcoming, Dr. Wuchenich managed to do just that. I will never forget the bouquets of roses and Irises that her parents (wearing smiles) brought to the office every year to be put in vases and placed throughout the office. She had floral pictures instead of medical diagrams on the walls, healthy green plants throughout the office, and comfortable pastel tub chairs for patients to sit in.
Dr Wuchenich was not only my employer, she was the doctor who delivered my nephew late one night after having seen patients in her office all day. I received not only the blessing of working with her to provide care, but was on the receiving end of her care as well.
I'm thankful for the time I worked with her, the lessons I learned from her, and for the friendship I shared with her and her family.

Nanette was an outstanding physician who would do any and everything to provide or obtain the best possible care for her patients. Always a caring and generous friend, and a trusted. outstanding colleague, she was quite simply one of the finest people I've had the privilege of working with.
I am among the many fortunate who counted themselves among her large group of friends and admirers.
This is such a terrible loss. She will be sorely missed by so many. My sincerest condolences and upmost admiration for the entire Wuchenich family.
I will miss picking up the phone and hearing Nanette's joy filled, high energy greeting - "Hey Frank! . . ."

To the Wuchenich family, Im so sorry to hear about Nanette. And with Wooch passing just 2 years ago it just doesnt seem very fair and then with the whole virus thing not allowing a corporate life celebration it really isnt fair! But theres a bright day just around the corner thatll make all this dim an be forgotten!! I will always have good memories of Nan, a lot of them centered around family meals and other get-togethers. Im thinking of you guys and praying for your families that You will feel God comforting each one of you.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Dr Wuchenich. I started seeing her with my 3rd pregnancy shortly after she started her practice. Stayed with her till she retired. She was a wonderful physician and friend. She was out of town when my son was born. The next day she actually called me to apologize for not being able to be there! And to see how I and the baby were doing. She was interested in my family and would spend time asking about them at my annual appointments. She sent me a note the year our oldest son was deployed to Afghanistan letting me know she was praying for him. After 25 plus years of being her patient I have so many fond memories of her. She will be missed

There is so much I could say, yet there are no words as my grief at Nanettes passing is so profound. I fondly think of Nanette and her sisters as my sisters from another mother as we have known each other our entire lives. My lifelong memories of Nanette will be treasured ones...SHE was a treasure. It is hard to imagine this fun, compassionate, energetic, intelligent woman absent from my life so soon. We still had so many more conversations and laughs to share, books to read, movies to view, places to go, hugs to give. I will never forget her wonderful smile and heartfelt laughter nor all the kindnesses she showed to my family and me
her entire life. Nanette left a legacy of love and a life well lived...it was just too short.
Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy cometh in the morning; Even so,
Come, Lord Jesus. I will see you in a better place, Nan! Much, much love, Maur

I just want to testify to the reflection of Nanette's goodness. I know that she rests in the Lord. Shocked and with messy tears; I just do not want this to be the truth. Nanette was a wonderful lady turned gentle friend who together with her sisters I truly enjoy(ed) a kind friendship and intelligent friendship. I am broken hearted.
During these past years as our friendship grew, I looked forward to the lilt in her voice and the cadence of her phrases. Her meaningful questions were full of kindness and depth. The consistency of her thoughtfulness and hugs were ever so present and strong. I will always remain grateful, as she deeply touched my life and the life of my family throughout these past years.
Forever in my thoughts.
Love you, dear one.

I'm so sorry to read about Nanette's passing. Nanette was someone I knew from my early years at LLUMC--she was our 8100 Social worker and then went down a new different successful career path. When our paths crossed through the years she always had kind words, time to greet me and wanted to know how things were going. My sympathies are with her family. She was a wonderful physician and acquaintance .

I am so very sorry to hear of her passing. Dr Wuchenich, my doctor and my friend for over 20 years, delivered all 3 of my children. She carried me through a very difficult delivery/emergency C-Section, my first child, a son. She literally saved his life and in saving his, Dr Wuchenich also saved mine. When your doctor safely navigates you through such dangerous waters, your life is greatly impacted. Every appointment with her was like a visit with a best friend. She literally cared so much about people, her patients, people. She shared her sage wisdom and "mothered" me when I needed encouragement. She always asked about each of my children, all through the years. She always was interested in their interests and their accomplishments, as if they were also hers. She was not only my Dr., she was a part of my family. She meant so much to me. She lived her life completely in the pursuit of service to others, never caring for prestige or notoriety. She just loved people so very much. I was blessed beyond measure with her care and her friendship. Her smiles and her hugs were the kind that warm you to your bones. She has a huge reward waiting for her on resurrection morning! Nanette lived life as if she were walking hand in hand with Jesus, right here on Earth. She will soon hear the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant, well done." I loved her deeply and I certainly always knew she loved me. My deepest sympathies to her family. Thank you all for sharing her with us.

Nanette and I shared the wonderful experience of traveling with Dr Wareham and Dr Coggin and the Heart Team to Saudi Arabia. We always had that bond of shared memories that we would enjoy reminiscing with each other. There has never been a kinder, more loving woman than Nanette. Truly a child of the King.

I was fortunate enough to be one of Dr. Wuchenich's patients shortly after she opened her private OB/GYN practice about 35 years ago. She remained my primary care physician for many years afterwords. Nanette delivered my only son and I felt a very strong bond with her because she always took the time to have a meaningful conversation during every appointment. Beyond her accurate empathy and medical knowledge, she was a genuinely caring and lovely woman. She spoke of her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews with the greatest of affection. How lucky we all were to have spent time with her. Nanette will be missed by all who knew her.

Oh man, just learned about her passing during our Sabbath School class. So sad to read about this. She delivered our only child, Summer Medina, on July 3, 1997. We will forever be thankful for her care of my wife Keri during that time. We kept in touch over the last 22 years via Christmas cards (and during my time when I worked at BMG). She was the best!!! Prayers to her family, co-workers, and friends. We know she died in Christ and this Easter weekend gives us the HOPE and REASSURANCE that we WILL see her again in perfect health at the resurrection day! (1 Thess 4:13-18). Until that day...love, Ernie, Keri, and Summer Medina, Loma Linda, CA.
