He has put on invisibility.

Dear Lord, We cannot see--

And passes from our sight,

That there will be no night;

That you will take him gently by the hand and lead him on.

Dr. Andrew A Best, the epitome of medical physicians. A pioneer in the field of medicine, a scholar and gentlemen. As Martin Luther King was to civil rights movement, so was Dr. AA Best to the field of medicine for Black/African Americans. A stupendous community leader, a renown medical doctor, and a loyal friend to the Black community. You will be missed by all. What an honor to have known such an influential person.

Dr. Best was one of the most inspiring men to the Black children of Greenville. He was someone whom we all looked up to with high hopes of attaining success in our lives. Dr. Best, I believe, was a godsend to all of North Carolina. His bedside behavior was excellent. He failed to see color but saw instead a medical need and fixed it. Now God has called him to His bosum to rest. He is well with the Father! Karen, Lil John, Tonya, Kierra and Brandon Maye

My deepest sympathy to the Best Family. The greatest mystery of life is that we cannot know its true beginning or end. The end of life begins a memory--a memory lives forever. Love you Uncle Bob.
