Lisa Jackson Obituary

GALESBURG - Mrs. Lisa Lynette Jackson, 42, of Galesburg, died at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at home.
She was born July 15, 1970, in Peoria, the daughter of James "Joe" McDonald and Johnnie Mae Gordon Trammell. She married Willie Riggs in Peoria. She later married Andre J. Jackson in February 2005 in Galesburg. He survives.
She is also survived by her three daughters, Sherilynn Riggs, Mattison M. and Kymorrah A. Jackson, all of Galesburg; her parents, Joe McDonald of Peoria, and Revs. Johnnie and L.G. Trammell of Galesburg; her brother, Donald E. Trammell of Detroit, Mich.; and her sisters, Rev. Tammie (James) Miller and Rev. Kimberly (Calvin) Bonds, both of Galesburg, and Erma Gene Morehead of Chidester, Ark. She is preceded in death by her two brothers, Gary D. and Larry D. Trammell.
Lisa had worked as a cook for the Maytag Corporation. She then worked as a caregiver for DORS and also worked for Galesburg School District 205 as a crossing guard and a noontime helper. She graduated from Peoria Central High School in 1988. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. Lisa was a flower child, so full of life. She enjoyed cooking, singing and taking care of her friends and family.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at the First Baptist Church. Her mother, Rev. Johnnie Trammell, will officiate. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes or to her family.
