Lois and family - I am sorry for your loss. Hugs and prayers to all of you. I would have loved to have been able to come to the service, but I wasn't able to make it. Please call me if you need anything. I'm just down the street or a phone call away. Hang onto all the beautiful memories to help you through this difficult time.

Seeing Ray's picture (and this one just about perfectly captures the way I've known and remembered him...with that terrific smile) brings back such a flood of memories, all good. Those New Years Eve parties where the kids would wait till, "it got later in the evening", and it was easier to sneak stuff. Ray providing analysis on the status of Silver Streak or Illini basketball. Ray hoping for a White Sox World Series, and suffering through Jack's gloating over the success of the Cardinals. The lifelong friendship that our fathers and their friends shared is something that all of us benefited from as we got to see how loyalty and friendship are done. Sadly such friendship is all to rare today. I'm very sorry for your loss, it is a hard day for sure, but know that you are not alone. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. -- Jeff Anderson & family

Dearest Lois, Susie, Patty, Andy and Tom.
Just looking at Rays' photo brings back only the finest of childhood memories. I clearly see and feel the love and fun all of us kids had at your place when our parents would get together and make home made pizza, play indoors and/or outdoors for hours, creating whole new realities as a matter of routine. There was no end to our adventures! On many levels, Ray and Lois were beloved and trusted as family. Susie, Patty, Andy and Tom: you are my cousins, my extended family, from whom I feel never separated. Lois, my mother from another, always welcoming and kind. A of mother to us all. Your worries about Ray's health and care are lessened now. You have your earthly family to care for you. You have a loving community of us to help you at this time. Lean on us, we can help. I love you so much, and have been thinking of you and your family constantly the past few days. Eat, rest and reflect on your blessed life, family and friends. Ray lives on in our hearts forever.
