Hey Dad, Hope everything's well up there, I miss you. Someday I will see you again, just wanted to check up on you and see how you're doing, I'm doing good in school, don't worry, sadly, our dogs Obie and Maddie died, Obie died because of old age, and maddie died because of cancer. But other then that, everything is going good. Well, I hope to see you sometime, I love you.

Ben took my class at University of Oregon; Plants for Landscape Architecture. The extremely challenging class was a stretch for him, as it is for many students. He came to class with a smile on his face and took on the burden of academic work with determination. He worked one on one with me quite a lot, given his trouble memorizing latin names. As a result of our time together, I consider Ben as a friend and I am very sad to hear of his passing. The world is missing one more positive and kind person without him.
