Eli Andrew Laird, 39 of Cottage Grove, Oregon passed away on November 15th, 2020. He was born on August 27th, 1981 in Springfield, Oregon to parents Ralph and Pixie (Rogers) Laird. Eli graduated from Gateways High School in Springfield, OR in 1998. He loved cooking and started when he was young in various restaurants in Cottage Grove and Springfield. He enjoyed cooking for his friends and family. Eli was a collector of many things; he was also a collector of knowledge. Jeopardy was one of his favorite programs. He was interested in documentaries, as well as all kinds of philosophy and poetry, He loved his friends and people from all walks of life with no judgements. He had a sweet spirit and kind soul. Eli will be missed by all who knew him. He touched everyone with his laughter, humor, and smile. Eli is survived by parents Ralph and Pixie Laird, Springfield, OR; sister Candi Laird, Springfield, OR; Nephew Gabriel Laird, Springfield, OR; lifetime friend Frank Sexson, Cottage Grove, OR and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial for Eli will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Sunset Hills Funeral Home, Crematorium and Cemetery.
