Vickie Taylor Obituary

Vickie L. Taylor, 62 of Cottage Grove, Oregon passed away on May 25, 2014 after losing a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born February 5, 1952 in National City, California to Charles and Patricia (KenKnight) Robinson. She received a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Phoenix.

She married Robert W. Taylor in Eugene, Oregon on April 1, 2005. She and Bob have been together for 23 years.

She was a registered Financial Advisor through CUSO Financial Services, L.P. at Pentagon Federal Credit Union. Vickie had over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She was committed to developing strong relationships with all her clients and credit union members in all areas of comprehensive financial planning; she specialized in investment strategies, Military and Civilian retirement planning, IRAs and wealth accumulation and preservation management. Vickie's focus was on all members of PenFed covering the West Coast states as well as the local communities in and around Eugene, OR.

Vickie volunteered with Community Sharing and also reading for elementary school children in Cottage Grove. She absolutely loved her 2 grandchildren. Her daughter and her grandchildren were the center of her life. Vickie loved reading, going to the Oregon Coast and her two dogs, Jazmyn and Bella. She was a great cook and enjoyed helping people make sound financial decisions. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cottage Grove.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Taylor; daughter, Ashley Cherry (Rustin Haas); parents, Charlie and Pat Robinson and grandchildren, Gavin and Zoey Haas; and sister, Shera Funderburgh all of Cottage Grove, Oregon. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Relay For Life in Cottage Grove or to the American Cancer Society. No Services are planned.
