"Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother & Sister"
Claire T. (Ciarleglio) Bocci, 86, entered the gates of Heaven on October 1, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Anthony J. Bocci, Sr. of over sixty-four years.
Claire was born in Waterbury on October 19, 1938, a daughter of the late Joseph V. and Claire (Pettit) Cialeglio, Sr. Growing up in Waterbury, Claire attended Waterbury Public Schools and was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School. Claire always enjoyed readings a good crime mystery novel, as well as playing various games and crossword puzzles. Often found baking in the kitchen and being a phenomenal host, Claire was known for baking her delicious Christmas cookies, hosting Christmas parties as well as summer picnics.
She loved talking with friends and family, and would often be found spending hours on the phone with her siblings and grandchildren. Claire had a gift of always finding encouraging things to say to others. Claire would often be found singing, listening to the radio, and had a special of coming up with funny songs. Above everything else, nothing meant more to Claire than her family, especially her grandchildren whom she absolutely adored.
Besides her beloved husband, Anthony, of Waterbury, Claire leaves behind to cherish her memory, her two children, Anthony J. Bocci, Jr. and his wife, Teressa, of Thomaston, Claire Wisti and her husband, William P. Sr., of Waterbury, and her two siblings, James Ciarleglio and his wife, Cynthia, of Waterbury, and Joan White and her husband, John, of Newbury Park, CA. She also leaves behind her four grandchildren, David Bocci and his wife, Bailey, of Antrim, NH, Amanda Wisti of Old Bridge, NJ, Paul Bocci and his fiancée, Rachel Mancini, of Brooklyn, NY, William P. Wisti Jr. of Westlake, OH, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph V. Ciarleglio, Jr., and his wife, Carol, and her sister, Geraldine Dulac, and her husband, Ronald.
Arrangements: A calling hour will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Our Lady of Lourdes Church, in Waterbury. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, in Waterbury.
