Holly Collins Obituary
FORT WORTH, TX
Holly Collins, 58, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017, in Fort Worth, TX. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Wright officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home.
Born November 3, 1958, at Larson Air Force Base in Washington, Holly was a daughter of Martha Thompson and the late Jack Thompson. As a child, she lived many places and was proud to be known as a "military brat".
Holly's passion was nursing and became a Licensed Vocational Nurse in 1980. While working full time, Holly returned to school and graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. Holly worked for ARMC for many years as a cath lab nurse until early retirement.
Holly was previously married to Wayne "Doogie" McWhirter and they raised four daughters. In 2000, Holly married Waylon Collins. The love that they had for each other was indescribable and they truly loved one another with all of their hearts.
After retirement, Holly's grandchildren were the light of her life and in her words, "Being a Nana was the best thing that ever happened to her".
Holly was preceded in death by her dad and best friend, Jack Thompson; grandparents, Sarah and Horace Boring, Bill and Bell Womack; aunt and uncle, Janice and Jim Thompson; and cousin, Frankie (Heidi) Mitchell.
Survivors include her husband, Waylon Collins; her mother, Martha Thompson; four daughters, Jimi Davis (and husband, David), Shanna Montgomery, Michelle Kilgore (and husband, Stacey) and Sara Galvan (and husband, Chance); two step sons, Derek Collins (and wife Jenny) and Chad Collins; one sister, Rhonda Boaz and husband, Joe Edd); pseudo-siblings, Cindy Clark (and husband, Freddy), Wanda Gresham (and husband, David), Scott Thompson (and wife, Jimi) and Dana Rister (and husband, Ronnie); 13 grandchildren, Draven, Triston, Jasmyn, Colton, Micah, Meadow, Meagan, Zerik, Illyann, Jaqueline, Wyatt, Avalon, and two on the way; and one very special friend, Kathi Guidry.
Family visitation will be 6:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Adams-Graham Funeral Home in Anson.

Knowing if u were here things would be diffrent and and knowing reguardles if i gt mad or not you did wat was best id give both arms and legs to have u back in my kids life right now u were truly an amazing woman and mom....miss u
