Eileen Batton

Thelma Eileen Batton, 75, passed away suddenly Jan. 17, 2015, from an apparent blood clot.
Eileen was born Jan. 16, 1940, in Madison County, Idaho, the daughter of Lyle Reid and Sylvia Morgan Reid. She grew up in the Lyman area, where she attended the Lyman elementary school and graduated from Madison High School. She also attended Ricks College, where she received her associate arts degree.
She married Roy Batton on Aug. 2, 1968, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in the Twin Groves area near St. Anthony, where they have since resided.
She was a active member of the LDS Church and served as a visiting teacher in the Relief Society, was a den leader, worked in the family history as a extractor and did genealogy work. She was a beloved wife, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed gardening and raising flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Roy, of St. Anthony; children, Roger Lee (Kelly Egan) Batton, of Newdale, Idaho; April Lynn Riley, Ray Charles (Patricia Sue Neil) Batton and Randy James (Holly Robinson) Batton, all of St. Anthony; Craig Lyle (Andrea Jensen) Batton, of Rexburg and Annette Batton, of Pocatello; two brothers, Grant Reid, of Lyman and Doyle Reid, of Washington; one sister, Lorna Zehnter, of Blackfoot; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the St. Anthony LDS Stake Center with Bishop Wade Geisler of the Twin Groves 1st Ward officiating. Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home Friday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and at the church Saturday from 10 to 10:45 just prior to the services. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
