John Pinnock Obituary

John Terrell Pinnock, 69, of Plano, Idaho, passed away April 21, 2018 of a heart attack. He was born October 28, 1948 to Thelma Sarah Robertson and John Henry Pinnock. Terrell's siblings are Orville Tex Pinnock, Charlene Tillack, Christine Barney, and Cheryl Madsen.

He grew up in the Plano that he loved and attended Edmunds School before attending and graduating from Sugar- Salem High School in 1967. He joined the Idaho National Guard and attended training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and later graduated from Ricks College in Accounting. He married his love, Siri Louise Davidson, on April 21, 1972. They were blessed with five sons: John, Derek, Destry, Joseph, Glade and one daughter, T'Rell.

Terrell was always a hard worker. As a teen he worked on the family farm and hauled hay for Ralph Hillman from Kilgore. He worked at Rexburg Food Center, Frito Lay, and for the last 20 years he was a crop insurance adjuster for many companies, most recently Farmers' Mutual Hail. All who worked with him; agents, co-workers, and the insureds, enjoyed his friendliness, integrity, and breadth of knowledge.

Terrell was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in a bishopric at BYU-Idaho and in the Rexburg LDS Temple as a Temple Ordinance Worker and Baptistry Assistant Coordinator. He has also served in various positions in the Plano Ward, most recently with the Plano Boy Scout troop.

Terrell's heart was in three places: his home and family, his ranch at Sand Creek, and everyone he came across. He was a gentle giant who loved to laugh and to serve others. He seized every opportunity to bring a smile to someone's face and lighten their load. He never failed to jump in when needed or lend his strength. He was a friend to all.

He is survived by his wife, Siri. His children: John Isaac Pinnock (Brooke) of Sugar City, Derek Royal Pinnock (Jennifer) of Logan, Utah, Destry Daniel Pinnock (Tricia) of Draper, Utah, Brock Joseph Pinnock (Somerli) of St. Anthony, Glade Nathaniel Pinnock (Sarah) of Sugar City, T'Rell Louise Pinnock of Boise. His grandchildren: Connor, Tate, Attley, McKinley, Braxton (Alexyss), McKell, Olivia, Ellie, Luke, Garrison, Emery, Terra, Aila, Leland, Ivie, (and September surprise), Toby, Chloe, and Sydney.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Tex, sister Charlene, and granddaughter Azure.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Plano, Idaho, at the Plano LDS Church 5000 W. 6000 N. Rexburg, Idaho. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 26, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Henry's Fork Stake Center at 1508 W. 3000 N. Rexburg, Idaho, with a viewing beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Plano Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.

His family wishes to extend their appreciation for all the love and well-wishes received from the many people Terrell impacted. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.flammfh.com.

Terrell was a light in our life from the first moment we met him when we moved to Idaho in 2010. He was a stalwart friend, a kind soul and a giant in spirit as well as stature. His kindness and thoughtfulness are legendary. He will always be in our hearts until we meet again in a better place.
