Charlene T. Urizar passed away in Sparks, Nevada on December 27, 2013 from complications of a serious stroke. She was born April 26, 194l, in Reno, Nevada to Frank and Helen Escalle Zubieta. Charlene attended school in Sparks, Nevada until 1959 when the family moved to Fernley, Nevada and she graduated from Fernley High School in June, 1960.
Charlene married John M. Urizar in Fernley, Nevada on June 16, 1963. In 1993, they moved to Fallon, Nevada where she continued to enjoy fishing, golfing, bowling and her lovely flower garden. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Ladies Auxiliary Aerie 1447, Fallon Nevada.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, John M. Urizar, her sisters
Jo Ann Roberts, Deynese Cassidy and her brother Frank (Cheryl) Zubieta. She is also survived by several cousins and nieces and nephews.
Her funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church located at 625 Desert Shadows Lane, Fernley. Burial will be at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley after the mass. A reception will be held at the church following the funeral and burial. My condolences to the Urizar family. Today I was informed that John has passed also. This so very sad they were both such wonderful sweet people and will be missed greatly.
