Marjorie Klaich Obituary

Marjorie Eileen Klaich passed away at home surrounded by her family on Friday, February 22, 2013 in Reno, Nevada. Margie was born May 1, 1922, in Leader, Colorado to Leonard Leo and Peggy Doss. Margie graduated from Fort Collins High School and Colorado State University where she met her future husband, Nick. Nick and Marge were married June 5, 1944, moved to Reno in 1945 and established Klaich Animal Hospital on the outskirts of Reno.
Margie is survived by her three children, Nick (Lori), Katherine and Dan (Denise) all of Reno; eight grandchildren Jason, Erin, Kelly, Scott, Courtney, Mitch, Nicholas and Michon, sixteen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Nick, her parents and her sisters Patty Doss McClintock and Maxine Doss Fitch.
The family expresses sincere gratitude to Keli McAuliffe, Mary Nichols, Rita Ellis and Gina Rodriguez who held Margie close and provided loving care and support to her and her family. The family also expresses its love and appreciation to the Sisters of Carmel of Reno, especially our beloved Sister Maria.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church 1138 Wright St, Reno, NV 89509.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carmel of Reno, 19S0 LaFond Dr. Reno, NV. 89S09.

Nicki, Although its been a long, long time, I remember your mom was a very sweet lady. I only saw her when she stopped by the hospital. I remember also how much your dad adored her. What a great family. Everyone loved her.

Nick, Kathy and Dan ~~ the Mass and Memorial Service today...your words of love from your hearts and souls for your Mother and your Father...the procession of grandchildren and great-grandchildren...the gathering afterwards to share memories among family and friends...what a tribute to a most wonderful lady. Words cannot adequately describe her contributions to this world...compassion, kindness, love. Her spirit will never be far and may God bless you all with peace in her memory. You are in our family's prayers.

Your mother was such a lady. She provided this community with the gift of her wonderful family (grandchildren too!), and all with grace and humility. She will be missed.

My Heart goes out to all of Marjorie's family.When i meet Marjorie late in her life i could tell she was a special women.I just loved her story of shooting a elephant with her husband Nick.All the social parties on the patio.If its any comfort knowing Marjorie lived a good full life surrounded by her family.My deepest sympathies for your loss and never forget her,she would have wanted it.She is now by the side of her loving husband Nick,R.I.P lovley Lady!!!
