Alice Brown Cahoon

Alice Brown Cahoon, 78, of Fincastle, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon H. Cahoon and her parents, William Henry and Nina Gillespie Brown. She was a member of the Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church. She retired from the Botetourt County School System with 25 years of service. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Earl and Marty Cahoon and David and Joyce Cahoon, all of Fincastle; grandson, Toby Cahoon and his wife, Sylvia; three great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; one stepgreat-great-granddaughter; and sister, Rosie Gilmore of Cloverdale. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Sadler and the Rev. Michael Huffman officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 10, 2007 from 2:30 to 4:30 and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan, 254-3000.
