November 10, 1934 - April 6, 2025
Dr. Darrell Eugene Brock, 90, a resident of Foley, AL, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
Darrell was born on November 10, 1934, in Omaha, NE, to Lloyd and Helen (Adamek) Brock. Darrell was a 1953 Graduate of Omaha Technical High School. After graduation, Darrell joined the US Navy and traveled the world, living life to the fullest. Darrell retired as a Chief Petty Officer after honorably serving his country for 21 years. While serving in the Navy, Darrell completed his master's degree in psychology. After his retirement from the Navy, he obtained his Doctorate degree in Philosophy in Chemical Dependency and served as Executive Director for treatment Centers in Florida. Darrell remained passionate about working to help those with chemical addictions for the remainder of his life and will always be remembered for providing unwavering support and commitment to so many individuals and their families.
He is preceded in death by his son, Christopher Brock; daughter, Suzanne; grandson, Seth; and stepson, Douglas Cox.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Legere Brock of Foley, AL; stepdaughter, Andrea Cox of Foley, AL.; son, Gary Brock, of Interlachen, FL; sisters, Jackie Helms, of Olathe, KS, Cheryl Coors of Charlotte, NC; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11 a.m. in Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park, 5701 Center Street, Omaha, NE 68106.
Interment will follow in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha, NE.
