Gloria Deane Likens Hollandsworth, 82, widow of Everett M. Hollandsworth, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 9, 2023. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, George S. and Wilma Underwood Likens.
She worked for 25 + years for the Roanoke County School System and is well known as the "lunch lady". She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, the local Bluegrass music scene and gardening.
She will be missed and remembered by her children, Eric M. Hollandsworth, and Elise Hollandsworth Hartmann (Patrick); grandchildren, Liam and Lydia; brother, Garland Likens (Lynn); loving family friend, Connie Warnock; loving companion, Mike Hudson.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, July 15, 2023, in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Geiser officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
