Ottis Prillaman Obituary
June 5, 1926 - January 7, 2021
Ottis Ray "O. Ray" Prillaman, age 94, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021, in his home surrounded by his family. Ray was born on June 5, 1926, in the Henry area of Franklin County, to the late George N. and Hester D. Prillaman.
He owned and operated O. Ray Prillaman Construction Company. Ray was a longtime active member of Franklin Heights Church and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Ray Prillaman; siblings, Logene Cannaday, Joe Prillaman, Morris Prillaman and Bill Prillaman.
Ray is survived by his wife of 70 years, Audrey Plyler Prillaman; sons, Joey Prillaman and Marty Prillaman (Naomi); grandchildren, Davis Prillaman, Lindsey Blake (Tim), Anna Ray Prillaman (Tyler), Kevin Ray Prillaman, Rian Prillaman, Koen Arthur, Paxton Arthur and Finn Arthur; great-grandsons, Emmet and Oliver Blake; daughter-in-law, Jill Prillaman; and a special employee "daughter" caregiver, Melissa Barbour.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Franklin Heights Church, Carilion Clinic Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
Graveside services will be held at Franklin Memorial Park, 3 p.m., Sunday, January 10, 2021, with the Rev. J. Larry Holland and Pastor Bobby Young officiating. His family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
