Eugene Franklin "Frank" Wilson Sr.

Eugene Franklin "Frank" Wilson, Sr., of Covington, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023, at the age of 88. Mr. Wilson proudly served his country in the United States Army. He felt he lived the "American dream" when he met his wife, Sherlan, who was the girl of his dreams. They met while Mr. Wilson was on Christmas leave from the Army and started writing to each other, and later married. He retired from Lithonia Lighting Company after 37 years. Mr. Wilson enjoyed fishing and traveling with his beautiful wife. He and his wife attended Harvest Baptist church which started in their Carport for the first service and was a current member of County Line Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherlan Ann Wilson; parents, Allen Davis Wilson and Vadie Wilson; and two sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include his sons, Frank Wilson, Jr., (Clydia), Eric Wilson (Jacqueline); grandchildren, Nicole Wilson, Jeremy Wilson, Jessica Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Erika Armistead, Kristen Adorno, Mandy Wilson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Wilson was held Tuesday, May 23, 2023, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Robert Daughtry officiating and interment followed in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
