Donald Scott Obituary

Donald E. "Scotty" Scott, 76, of Rome, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at the Abraham House of Rome. He was born in Tulsa, OK, on August 17, 1946, a son of the late Virgil and Pauline (Sherwood) Scott.

Scotty served in the United States Air Force from 1966-1986. Upon retirement, he worked in the IT department at Americu.

Scotty is survived by four sons, Mark Scott (Debbie), Jeffrey Scott (Tracy), David Scott (Starr) and Benjamin Scott (Erin); a sister, Carol Tupper; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth.

Scotty's family would like to thank the staffs at St. Luke's, Abraham House of Rome and Hospice and Palliative Care for their wonderful care and compassion.

Private services will be held at Rome Cemetery in the spring. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Donald's memory to the Abraham House of Rome, 417 N. Washington St., Rome NY 13440.

It is with great sorrow to read about Scotty's passing.
I worked for Scotty in the Base Supply Computer Operations. He was a great boss and friend.
I'm sure I am not alone in remembering how much fun he was to be around ,God speed Scotty.
