Lola Hill Obituary

LOLA M. HILL, 73 LOVING WIFE, MOTHER, SISTER AND FRIEND BELVIDERE - Lola M. Hill, 73, of Belvidere died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at SwedishAmerican Heart Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born Feb. 21, 1939, in Marengo, daughter of Ray and Henrietta (LeVoy) Stone. She married Donald C. Hill on Jan. 5, 1985, in Belvidere. Lola worked on the assembly line for Chrysler Corporation for 31 years, retiring in 1997. Member of UAW Local 1268. She enjoyed her flower gardens and holding monthly breakfasts with two of her closest friends, Brenda Haas and Doris Heibner, and keeping in contact with fellow workers at Chrysler. Lola also held a real estate license. She is survived by husband, Donald; son, Bill Corson; two daughters, Peggy Foerster and Leslie Camp; three stepsons, Jeffrey, Robert (Debbie) and Carl (Anita) Hill; eight grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Rose Blackledge; and many nieces and nephews. Lola was predeceased by parents; and two sisters, Peggy and Doris Stone. A private graveside service will be held in Marengo City Cemetery with Chaplain, Tanya Muzzarelli officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society. Lola has always been a shining light in my life with a heart of gold. She's brought a lot of joy and love into so many lives. They'll be a special place in heaven for this beautiful lady.

She was definitely the heart of the family. Lola was one of the nicest person i ever met and she was a lovely lovely lady. She will be missed. I am so so sorry.
