NORMAN 'CURLY' ASHLEY, 87 LOVES PARK - Norman "Curly" Ashley, 87, died on Christmas Day, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born September 20, 1926, in Tennessee to George and Lida Ashley. He worked for Amerock until retiring. Norman loved watching the Cubs, but more importantly he loved his family, and the special times they spent together. Survivors include wife of 61 years, Iona; children, Jeff (Virginia), Curt, Mike (Chrisite) Ashley, Connie (David) Hess, Linda (Bob) Amos, Dawn (Samuel) Clark; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brothers, Fred (Rosie) and L.G. (Dorothy); many nieces and nephews and dear friends. Predeceased by parents; son, Randy; seven brothers; one sister; daughter-in-law, Paula. Special thanks to all Norman's caregivers. Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Monday, December 30, with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service at Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, IL.
