as you know Charlene I loved watching the birds over the lake with both of you and I will always have the strong memory of Al coaching me in basketball and I remember sometimes he would play with us and how hard it was to defend against him. He had a great love for the game of basketball and was himself an outstanding athlete as well as a dedicated coach. Best Wishes, Bob Jansen (London, England)

Our sincere condolences to the Wedwaldt family. Al was such a nice man. Of course Rick knew him for many years at MUHS but I had the opportunity to get to know him better through his investment work with us. His positive outlook and friendly smile will be long remembered.

Al was a good man, a kind-hearted soul. He was my mentor when I began teaching at MUHS, and he found time to talk about many important things besides teaching while we enjoyed ice fishing, bird hunting, deer camp, and poker nights. His love for Vermont and his fellow Vermonters was deep and genuine.

To Charlene and the boys, I extend my condolences and prayers to the family this morning. I am in shock at reading this as had Al on my mind to call and catch up as it had been a few years since I had seen him. I always felt blessed to have worked with Al in financial services, to have had him as a teacher and coach in high school and friend who always shared from the heart. Al was there for me during a couple difficult times with a phone call and in person. He so loved his family sharing stories of all of you along with nature stories when we would get together. Al will be missed but not forgotten as his spirit will be with us. Another reminder to all of us to make that call or have that conversation with friends or loved ones as we just never know when it is time for transition. Blessings to the family.
