Phyllis White Obituary
Phyllis was born August 12, 1924, in Benson, Vt., the daughter of Dana and Anna (Ladd) Strong. She was predeceased by her first husband, Percy J. Briere, in 1970; her second husband, James L. White, in 1994; her brother, Russell L. Strong; and special friend, Fred Mercier.
Survivors include her sister, Sybil Marineau of Johnston, R.I.; her children, Gary Briere and his wife, Charee, of Wilmington, Mass., Philip Briere and his wife, Maria, of Montpelier, Vt., Kathy Buxton and her husband, Steve, of Orwell, Vt., and Susan Briere and her husband, Mark Krautheim, of Orwell, Vt.; her stepchildren, David White of Rutland, Vt., and Suzanne Parker of Fair Haven, Vt. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, plus several first-cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.
In honor of her request, there will be no calling hours or funeral. Her wish was for a private family ceremony.
