GIANOPULOS, Gregory Frank
Nov. 12, 1932 - Jan. 9, 2010
Gregory Frank Gianopulos, peacefully passed away Jan. 9, 2010 after a brief illness. A native of Sacramento, born Nov. 12, 1932, he was the loved husband of Barbara Gianopulos (Newcomb). He is survived by brothers George (Fran) and Phil and sisters Christine Alexander and Olympia Mercuris (Sam). He was father of Cynthia Orgon (Ed) and Diane Gianopulos and grandfather of Eddie, Erica and Olivia Orgon. He has a stepson David Morgan (Kathy) and stepgranddaughter Stephanie Belli (Paul) and her children Payton and Aiden, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Fannie Gianopulos (Kondos) and stepson Dennis Morgan. Greg worked as a meat cutter for forty years in Sacramento and fondly recalled his days in the U.S. Navy 1951-55 with pride. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Services will be held on Friday, January 15, at 11:00 at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home in Placerville. Please visit and sign the guestbook at www.chapelofthepinesfunerals.com
