LUND, Joshua Allan
(1979-2008) Joshua Allan Lund passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2008, in Sacramento, Calif. Joshua was born on April 19, 1979, in Sacramento, raised in Citrus Heights and attended Mesa Verde High School. He was loved and will be missed by his wife Guadalupe, son Joshua Jr., two brothers, Westley Lund and Jerrid Guerrero, his beloved mother and stepfather Jodi and John Guerrero, nephew Gavin Lund, niece Alivia Lund, grandmother Margaret Haggard and grandfather Delmar Cockrill. Joshua had many uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and neighbors in Citrus Heights, Sacramento, and the East Bay Area. Joshua enjoyed taking trips to Lake Tahoe and Reno and had a passion for gambling and enjoying the good life. He will never be forgotten. Joshua was preceded in death by his father Craig Lund of Hayward, his grandparents Ivan Rodenz, Ellen and Wes Lund, Juanita Cockrill, and Alex Bruno. Friends and family are invited for visitation on Monday, April 14, 2008, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and to attend the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, both at Mount Vernon Cemetery on Greenback Lane by Sunrise Ave. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to any Washington Mutual Bank, c/o Jodi Guerrero.

To Joshua’s dear family, I did not know Joshua, but my heart goes out to his family as they continue on their journey of grief. Our 22 year old son, Zack, died in June 2006, and we know the sadness you are feeling. If you ever want to talk with a mom who knows the pain you are going through, you are very welcome to contact me. There is an amazing support group in our area for moms who have lost children and we would be honored to provide you with the support that a grieving mom needs.

Happy 29th birthday, I am working today to try and forget about what could have been, I loved you so much and you didn’t even know, I would call Grandma just about everyday and see what you were up to and if you were okay. I am sorry that I couldn’t be there for you. I know this sounds really crappy but your funeral was beautiful, you had allot of friends that are devastated your gone, but now we have to move forward and remember the good old times, I love you Chubb Rock, Happy Birthday we really do miss you!

Dearest Joshua-my heart is broken. I hope you realize how much your family loved and loves you. There is a huge void left that will never be filled. Josh many years went by since I last saw you and our paths crossed again and we caught up on past time. It broke my heart when I heard the news and makes me appreciate life so much more.
