Mary Leitzman Obituary
Memorial services for Sacramento resident Mary Virginia Leitzman, 84, of Mather, California are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday January 6, 2006 at the Holly Tree Chapel, Holly Lake Ranch, Texas with Paul Myers officiating.
Mrs. Leitzman died Monday December 26, 2005 at Emerald Gardens Nursing Center in Sacramento, California.
She was born March 26, 1921 in Nashville, Tennessee to Edgar and Opal Crim. She married Dean K Leitzman on August 30, 1938.
Mrs. Leitzman moved to California in June of 2004 from Texas when she became too ill to return home. She moved in with her daughter at Mather, California until she needed 24-hour care. She was at the Emerald Gardens Nursing Center in Sacramento, California until her death.
Mrs. Leitzman was a devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved to sew, crochet, knit and do many other crafts, which she shared with family, friends and the underprivileged. She loved country music, traveling and shopping.
Mary is survived by sons, Lonald Leitzman of Holly Lake Ranch,Texas; Dennis Leitzman of Galt California; daughters Teri Wood of Greenville, California, Cathy Lunsford of Mather California, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death.
The family wishes to thank Emerald Gardens and UC Davis Hospice for their wonderful care and devotion to Mary. They made her final journey one of ease and comfort.
Arrangements were handled in California by Miller Funeral Home, Folsom, California and in Holly Lake Ranch by Beaty Funeral Home, English Chapel, Hawkins, Texas.
