It has been many years since I last saw Mike, but we were great pals in high school and college. We both shared a love of hunting, fishing and anything outdoors and spent many a weekend in a scull boat on north bay. Even at the age of fifteen he was a fine sculler and preferred the stalk to the kill. He understood at a young age what it meant to be a sportsman and I am sure he lived his life that way.

I worked at the Barrett law firm for ten years for one of Mike's partners. I first met Mike before my interview even took place as I was trying to figure out how to get into the Barrett suite. (Staircases everywhere, but none leading to the front door.) I enjoyed working for Mike's firm very much and worked for him directly as needed. He was a very nice man with good humor and a wonderful laugh. My deepest sympathy to his family. Gone too soon.
