Msgt. Mitsuo Tsushima

1925 - 2016

Born 5/15/25 in Stockton, CA to Kennosuke and Hatsuyo Tsushima. Mitsuo suffered cardiac arrest during complicated vascular surgery and passed on 8/29/16 at age 91. He is preceded in death by wife Shizue, brother Jiro, and sister Irene. He is survived by siblings Mary, Frank, Hiroshi, May, Tadashi, and Isamu, son Richard and his wife Cheryl. Mitsuo was a dedicated husband, an awesome father, father-in-law, brother, and friend. After internment during WWII, he spent 20 yrs in the US. Air Force working in jet engine maintenance including service in Vietnam, and 13 years in civil service doing the same function. He loved airplanes and if he couldn't fly them, he wanted to work around them. He was a fanatical fisherman. He loved the sport. He also tended a beautiful vegetable garden every year. A Celebration of Life reception will be held on 9/25/16 at 11:00 am in the Orangevale Community Center at 6826 Hazel Ave Orangevale, CA.
