Born in Honolulu, HI, to the late Paul C. and Shizuko Harada. Graduate of the University of Hawaii and Marquette Medical School. Served 27 years in the United States Air Force as a physician. Recipient of numerous awards and commendations. Continued his Ob-Gyn specialty for 10 years at Kaiser Hospital. Enjoyed the activities and friendships made during 29 years of membership in the Twin Lakes Riding Club. Preceded in death by his brother Shigeo Harada. Survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Ellen; daughters Ellen Harada (Ensworth Bruni), Lauren (Dean) Pai, and Susan (Jerry) Van Rein; grandsons Ryan and Evan Daley; great-grandson Caiden; brothers James and Lawrence Harada; sisters Ruth (Tadama) Yoshioka, May (Walter) Takimoto, Florence (Walter) Okano, and Jane Harada; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members. An informal "Gathering" will be held on Friday, December 26, 2008, at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA. Family and friends are invited to drop by any time between 12:00 noon and 3:00 p.m. to visit and share memories. Interment at a later date at National Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, HI. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Bill's name to the charity of your choice.
