Christina Stoner Obituary

Christina “Tina” Rose Stoner passed away on June 30, 2022 in Union, S.C. Tina was born to the late Mary Delene Wyatt Rose and Christopher Columbus Rose on Oct. 3, 1943 in Clanton, Ala.. She graduated from East Rowan High School in Salisbury and married her high school sweetheart, Robert Glenn Stoner, Jr. on June 9, 1963. Tina was a graduate of Salisbury Business College and a home-maker. She also ran Stonerhaven Kennels, breeding, training, and showing Shetland sheepdogs. She also loved horses, basketball, Santas, and other collectibles. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Delene Wyatt Rose and Christopher Columbus Rose. Tina is survived by her husband, Robert Glenn Stoner, Jr; her sons, Glenn Christopher Stoner (Beth) and Greg Robert Stoner (Angela); and granddaughters, Merisa D. Stoner and Kristina K. Stoner. Arrangements: A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 5, at St. Matthews Lutheran Church Cemetery in Salisbury, NC at 11 a.m. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. Matthews Lutheran Church Building Fund, 9275 Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC 28146. Arrangements are by Powles Staton Funeral Home in Rockwell, NC. Online condolences may be made at www.powlesfuneralhome.com.
