Doris Boyd

Doris Pearl Boyd, age 91, passed on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022 at her home. She was born to the late Luanna Hunt and Lafayette Burton on May 4, 1931 in Hartwell, Ga., and was reared in the home of her father and the late Pearlie Burton. Educated in the public schools in Hart County, Ga., she graduated from Hart County High School. She graduated from Immanuel Lutheran College in Greensboro and Guilford Technical Community College in Jamestown. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1959 and Registered Nurse in 1973. Ms. Boyd retired from Brian Center and attended Cornerstone Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by granddaughter, Loren D. Perry; brothers, Hubert Burton, Leroy Burton and Denver “Pete” Burton; sister, Frances Burton Moore. Left to cherish her memories include her son, Daryl Byarm (Avis) of Spencer; daughters, Myra Byarm (Skylar), Ann Roberson and Lori Robertson all of Salisbury; grandchildren, Belinda Haywood (Robert), Barbara Sullivan (Troy), Brooke Chalk, Bless Byarm and Janiah Hall; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Byarm, Ishod Byarm, I'rihanna Haywood, Icon Haywood, Sundai Sullivan and Seven Sullivan; great-great-grandchild, Adrian Byarm; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Services: Wednesday, Dec. 14, at the A. R. Kelsey Memorial Chapel, Noble and Kelsey Funeral Home, Inc. with the visitation at 1 p.m. and funeral at 1:30 p.m. Entombment will follow services at Rowan Memorial Park. Rev.
