Jimmy Lee "Buzz" Brown Jr.

Mr. Jimmy Lee “Buzz” Brown, Jr. passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Salisbury Rehabilitation. He was born on February 27, 1956, in Rowan County to the late Jimmy Lee Brown, Sr., and the late Janice Patricia Leonard Brown. Jimmy was a 1974 graduate of North Rowan High School and worked as a self-employed construction contractor. Mr. Brown was a member of Yadkin United Methodist Church. Jimmy was an avid sportsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Steelman Brown and brother-in-law Bob Smith.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother Greg Brown and wife Tammi, sisters, Patricia Smith and Angela Brown, all of Salisbury and 10 nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 11:00AM until 12:00PM at Summersett Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 12:00PM in the Summersett Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Mark Conforti officiating.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Bethamy, Compass and Salisbury Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for their compassionate and loving care of Jimmy.
