Patricia Jean Montgomery Harris

1934 - 2022

Patricia Jean Montgomery Harris, 87, of Salisbury, NC, departed from her home here and went to her new home with the Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 10th at 10:40 p.m. She was born April 9, 1934 in Pocatello, Idaho to Melvin and Alice Lowe, her Dad died early, and later she was adopted by Mark and Mary Montgomery of Caldwell, Idaho. Pat married James P. Harris Jr. on December 16, 1952 in Ogden Utah and they just celebrated 69 years of marriage together. She was preceded in death by both sets of Parents, 3 brothers, and one son, Dennis Harris. She is survived by 2 children, Steven Harris (Carolyn) of Lenoir, N.C, and Christine Miller, (Scott) of McDonough, Georgia, and also four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She is survived also by one brother Ray Lowe (Dixie) in Oregon, and one sister Melva Thompson of Washington. Pat served as a wonderful mother and great partner in ministry with her husband, Jim Harris, in many ministries in Washington, Texas, California, West Virginia and here in Salisbury while caring for the family at home, even as he traveled for 12 years in evangelism. Pat worked in private practice for 17 years as a C. N. A. in Salisbury, caring for the loved ones of many families in this community. Pat loved flowers and antiques and taught a community class on furniture refinishing at Rowan Tech. Arrangements: Visitation will be held Wednesday February 16, 2022 from 12-1PM at Milford Hills Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 1PM to be conducted by Dr. Jim Harris (Husband), Dr. Scott Miller (Son in Law), Rev. Derek Miller (Grandson), Rev. Gary Clayton (Pastor, Milford Hills Baptist Church). The family would like to give a special thanks to Novant Hospice and Palliative Care for their loving care of Pat.
