Dustin Terrell Obituary

Aug. 11, 1976 ~ Oct. 26, 2013
Dustin John Terrell, beloved husband, father, son, brother and uncle passed away enjoying one of his favorite activities, riding his dirt bike at the Little Sahara Sand Dunes in Utah. Dustin was born and raised in Sandy, Utah where he graduated from Hillcrest High School as SBO Class President. He served as an LDS Missionary in the Canada Toronto Mission. He attended the University of Utah receiving a bachelor's degree in Business Finance. Dustin's ambition, enthusiasm and passionate personality drove him to accomplish many great feats both in his personal and professional life. His greatest accomplishment and passion was his family. His loving wife Sarah Kathleen Robinson, whom he met in Michigan, brought him incredible joy and greater happiness than he had ever known. They were married on May 29, 2010. Later, bringing even further joy to their life was their son, Tyler Thomas Terrell, born June 30, 2010. Dustin's hobbies included tennis, motorcycles, skiing, boating, sports and anything competitive that would allow him to strive for excellence.
As Dustin said, "Make every moment count - each one that goes by you will never have again. Life is not a rehearsal." Anyone that knows Dustin would say he genuinely cared for them and their happiness. He will be greatly missed and loved by all those he touched. May he rest easy in the life hereafter until we meet again.
Dustin is survived by his dedicated wife, Sarah, their son Tyler Thomas, mother Kathy Terrell, father Robert Terrell, siblings Shaad William (Stacy), Teneil Lynn (Brian) Watson, Teaguer Robert (Gina), nieces and nephews Kamee (Byron) Reeves, Kolin, Kylee, Kecia, Kaage Terrell and great nephew Ryker Reeves. He is preceded in death by his grandparents William and Mary Terrell, John and Afton Mitchell.
Funeral Services will be held in his honor at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday November 2, 2013 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S) in Sandy. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8 PM and from 12-12:45 p.m. prior to the services on Saturday. Online condolences may be shared at www.larkincares.com.

I first met Dustin at Kapnick Insurance Group. He was such a wonderful young man and his love for his wife and son was amazing. I remember when Tyler was born and how proud he was. I am so sad that he is no longer her on earth but he is in heaven and there is no more glorious place to be than there. God bless you all and know that you are all in my prayers!

Dustin and I invested many hours of time over the phone discussing goals and business. He had such a love for life, so much ambition, and he spoke with such deep respect and complete adoration of Sarah and Tyler. I am so saddened to learn of Dustin's passing, and I hope you find solace in your grief.

There is a saying that goes "You may never remember what someone said to you or what they did, but you will always remember the way they made you feel." I had one brief encounter with Dustin at Hillcrest and I can still remember how he made me feel, which was respected, like he truly had an interest in what I had to say and who I was. That encounter has lasted for 20 years which is a true testament to his amazing character.

My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. The world has lost a great person.
