Michael Holmes Lash, age 64, died quietly in his sleep on May 10, 2018 due to heart failure. He was born April 14, 1954 in the Army hospital at Fort Meade, Maryland. His parents are Lileth Blair and William Lash. He was educated in Utah, Idaho and Washington. Mike studied guitar for many years and formed his own music band at a young age.
The band traveled and played from Los Angeles to Nashville. He also wrote some of his own songs. Mike married Jeane Rhoades in 1974 , Salt Lake City, Utah, and later divorced. In 1982, he married Paula Holtz from Ohio (mother of his sons), later they divorced. During the late 1980s and 1990s he shared a relationship with the mother of his beautiful daughter Jen, JoLynn Taylor from Utah.
Mike is survived by his parents, his sister Trish (Chester) Lash from Colorado, and brother John Lash (Oyuna), Seattle Washington, his three children Michael (wife Whitney), Atlanta, Rick Lash, Maryland, and daughter, Jen (husband Justin), Austin, Texas, and Mike's best friend Wendy Jewell, who lived and cared for him many years of his life. Mike also is survived by seven grandchildren and many dear friends.
Throughout Mike's life, his brother John was always there to help and support him. He will be greatly missed, and his family and friends will meet for a celebration of his life on June 16, 2018 at the Waterbury Club House from 2:00 to 4:00 pm
