Robert Greenland Obituary

Robert L. Greenland Beloved Father Robert Lomax Greenland died January 16, 2008 in Salt Lake City.Bob was born February 8, 1919 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles and Elizabeth Lomax Greenland. He was a gentle, kind, and loyal man. He served in World War II in Europe with the 803rd Tank Destroyers Recon. Co. During the war he met and married his wife of 55 years, Apollonia. She died in 2002. He was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad for over 50 years and loved locomotives and railroading. He is survived by his daughter, Dorothy. Graveside services will be held Monday at 12:00 Noon at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South. Friends may call Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Utah, 4242 South 300 West, Murray, UT 84107, or the Salvation Army, 252 South 500 East, SLC, UT 84102 When you hear a train or some good Jazz music, think of Bob.
