Sharon Tyson Obituary
Our beloved Sharon unexpectedly passed from this earth into the loving arms of Jesus on November 24, 2017. She is now reunited with her dearly loved parents and 2 sisters and is survived by her husband, Bill; children, Jen (Chris) Cassity and Ben (Kelly) Tyson; 5 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mary Lynne (Bruce) Bristol, Gloria West, Carol Amende, as well as many close cousins and friends.
Sharon was born and raised in the small town of Albion, ID on the family farm. She moved to Salt Lake City in 1971 and married Bill Tyson, the love of her life, in 1972. This beautiful woman was a faithful prayer warrior, committed wife, dedicated mother and grandma, loving sister, and encouraging friend. In her younger years, she loved horse riding and beating the boys at football and basketball, which earned her the nickname Stretch. She also was a wonder on the piano, and could sew anything, including superman capes and prom dresses, and loved photography. She always loved being around family, and in the last 10 years, her world revolved around her grandkids, who dearly miss their silly grandma.
Services will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at 11:00 at Cross Tower Church of Christ, 3138 W. 7000 S. in West Jordan. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Children's Miracle Network, a charity that was close to Sharon's heart, because of how they gave back to her own grandchildren. I have memories of Sharon and her younger sister when they were at Magic Valley. Her laughter could be heard in the halls of the dorms.
I also have a memory of sitting behind Sharon and Bill just before I left for college, they were truly in love with each other.
Sharon was a very strong woman. She will be greatly missed.
Bill there are no words that will help you right now. You need time, you need to know your family and friends love you and that God will always be next to you.

Sharon was a fellow Declo HS classmate. She was a great student and friend. She was always happy and had a great laugh. I know she will be missed by her family and especially her kids and grandchildren. A prayer is sent her way as well as for the family.

Jen and family. I am so sorry for your loss. I don't know Ben but I have know Jen since college. Jen is an amazing person and so I can only imagine how wonderful Sharon must have been in order to raise such a wonderful person. Something that always brings me comfort when someone passes is; death does not end a relationship, it only changes it. I pray peace and comfort for all of you as you grieve.
