EDWARD GONZALES. Obituary
SSgt. Edward A. Gonzales, Jr. entered eternal rest on May 2, 2022 at the age of 75. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas to Edward and Rose Gonzales on March 24, 1947.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margaret Kosmetatos; stepson, Joel O. Garza.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Edna Gonzales, his loving daughters, Monica De la Rosa, Ileana Upchurch (Scott); stepson, Gabriel Garza (Denise); grandchildren, Gavin Gonzales, Alec De la Rosa, Olivia Upchurch, Jackson Upchurch, Blair De la Rosa, Savannah De la Rosa, Zuri Garza, Daniel Ramirez, Caleb Ramirez; friends, Florence Gonzales, Bertha Fuentes, Raul Orozco, Nora Mendes.
Edward will be forever remembered and missed by all those that knew and loved him deeply.
A visitation will take place at Castle Ridge Mortuary on Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. On Monday, May 23, 2022, continued visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. with an interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 10:15 a.m.

I enjoyed Ed's light hearted jokes and wisdom he would share with his Coworkers. The World could sure use more of his humor. He will be greatly missed.
